Steam carpet cleaning is also know as wet extraction, which is the process of deep carpet cleaning with a continuous flushing system of hot fresh water. When this method and procedure is performed correctly, it is the superior of the 2 cleaning methods, removing and breaking more soiling, dirt, bacteria and stains. Dry carpet cleaning is great for lightly soiled carpets and for clients whom want their carpets to be dry within a few hours. The cleaning method it provides with a bonnet and a 360 scrubbing action cleans the top of the carpets surface, making the presentation of the carpet looking superior for a short period of time.
Steam Carpet Cleaning
Also known as hot water extraction is the most popular method of carpet cleaning. Hot water and detergent are sprayed through jet nozzles on to carpet surface. Soil is suspended and immediately removed by wet vacuuming. The combination of heat and agitation via the jet spay makes for effective cleaning with little damage to the carpet surfaces.
Dry Carpet Cleaning
This method provides a topical clean that is quick and has a much shorter drying time than hot water extraction. A dry solvent or detergent solution is used which is bio-degradable and evaporates resulting in a fast drying time so little business or residential down time is required. A disadvantage to this cleaning method is that only the top of the carpet fibres get cleaned.
